Social Solutions was founded in 1990 by Patricia Sachs Chess, PhD.
Patricia (Pascha) Sachs Chess is a professional anthropologist who has devoted her energies to working with businesses in transition, and a commitment to grow thriving communities by growing thriving businesses.
Social Solutions works with companies to shape strategy and practice by understanding the social impact of their services, technologies, and products on real people in real situations so they can be more successful in the market. She specializes working with leaders of companies at a crossroads and cultivating company capability to match market strategy.
After working with Fortune 500 firms for many years, Dr. Chess decided to adapt what she learned there to help entrepreneurial, small and medium sized businesses. She has worked in hi-tech innovation and developed a global team to conduct on-site, in-depth market research.
Patricia is active in the Phoenix business community. She is on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Small Business Association; is on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Enterprise Foundation, and is a recent graduate of APS’s AAAME program. Her work has been reported in Scientific American, Wired Magazine, Marketing News; she holds two patents on technologies that visualize and model “real work,” one of which has been in use at NASA for nearly 10 years.
